A Pat to my Thought...

The World with INDIA

Where the mind is without fear
and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been
broken up into fragments
by narrow domestic walls; ...
Where the clear stream of reason
has not lost its way into the
dreary desert sand of dead habit; ...
Into that heaven of freedom,
my Father, let my country awake.
- Rabrindrinath Tagore

"That is INDIA". Nowhere on Earth does humanity present itself in such a dizzying, creative burst of cultures and religions, races and tongues. Every aspect of the country presents itself on a massive, exaggerated scale, worthy in comparison only to the superlative mountains that overshadow it. Perhaps the only thing more difficult than to be indifferent to India would be to describe or understand India completely.

It is a country strained beyond belief with people and pollution, an incomprehensible bureaucratic labyrinth, and the calcification of caste structure, laws against it notwithstanding. It is home to the some of the world's worst living conditions, a place where crushing poverty and disease coexist with political corruption, unemployment, illiteracy and mob violence on a massive scale.

India is now more than just being the flavor of the season. Superstar columnist Thomas Friedman got the title of his latest bestseller The World is Flat from an Indian CEO - Nandan Nilekani of Infosys. Brangelina chose to shoot their latest film - A Mighty Heart - in Mumbai, the heart of the Indian filmdom. Most of the AIDS drugs for the world's poor are manufactured by Cipla, a pharmaceutical firm of India. The world no. 1 steel baron, Lakshmi Mittal, holds an Indian passport. The historic Boston hotel, Ritz-Carlton, is all set to be acquired by an Indian hospitality chain - the Taj Hotels. Microsoft's biggest development center facility outside the U.S. is built in an Indian city - Hyderabad. In 2006, Pepsico appointed its first female CEO - an Indian woman named Indra Nooyi. The jewels worn by top stars in the 2005 Hollywood flick Troy were designed by an Indian jewelry store in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Almost all the sets used for the Oscar Award winning film Gladiator were made in a small village, Timmapur, near Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, jobs in US continue to be Bengalurooed by the bustling call centers of India. India seems to be the most happening place on the earth.

My thought... India is everything human. It is all of our achievements and accomplishments, it is the past, it is the future. If it has been thought, experienced and imagined, it has all happened before in India and you can be sure it is happening right now. I wonder at times how this world might have been with out this happening part. At last, I decided to give a pat to thought "the World with India".

The core thought of the column is just the buzz that happening in India and world looking at INDIA, has initiated this column 'The World with INDIA', and in what better times this can happen. To keep away from routine accolades and reasons for the admiration India had, SCOOP wants to make it more entertaining and edgy with all possible good creative reasonable and sensible thoughts to be in this space. We wish the readers will welcome and pass on much better ways to celebrate the initiative with an ingenious insight.

The World with India ... The creative energy has been the thriving force of human to discover and invent and lead to the future with answering solutions and spaces to grow. The same energy in us leads us to come up with SCOOP, a professional entertainer newzine and welcomes the support and patronage of the concept by SYNERGI Research & Consulting.

Agreeing the phenomenal development and recognition at some sectors can't be subjected to the complete scenario of development on all fronts. For sure the new culture to think and listen and improve had a start and that is the inspiration to this series of columns on WORLD with INDIA, speaking the right value for right tomorrow.

A pat to my thought. At the nucleus of development dream the 'incredible ideal Indian family ' , and its value system holds the key and this very reason has been a greater binding force of this great land.

The statistics and facts that we see can only prompt us, but the act to make it true is yet to happen. The achievements India made are incredible and let's partner to make many to the list by the powered concept of nationalistic movement to our dreams. Lets pass on to the generations to come, the performing systems of development, preserve the values systems, equip them with better standards of health, education and living index and executive leadership towards a greater harmonic human race.
We wish to come up with a series of columns trying to provide a peep into all possible view points. till then .........
